About Peta

From an early age, Peta’s creative spirit found expression through cartoons and various artistic endeavors, a testament to the nurturing environment she was immersed in.

Her artistic ambitions led her to pursue a formal education in Film and TV at RMIT in Melbourne, reflecting a commitment to storytelling through visual mediums. However, her trajectory took an unexpected turn when she faced the challenges of ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), prompting her to step away from her career in television. Despite the setbacks, Peta found solace and support within her family, becoming a vital anchor during a challenging period of her life.

While her health prevented her from continuing in the world of film and television, Peta’s indomitable creative spirit endured. She continued to channel her passion for storytelling through a different avenue—cartooning and drawing. According to Peta, a single gag cartoon is akin to a frame of a film, encapsulating a narrative within a singular image. This shift in focus allowed her to distill the essence of storytelling into bite-sized, visually captivating moments.

Peta’s return to cartooning represents more than just a redirection of her artistic pursuits; it signifies a resilience to overcome obstacles and a commitment to personal fulfillment. Her cartoons, shared across various social media platforms, serve as windows into her world of humor and thoughtful reflections. Each cartoon is a carefully crafted snapshot that elicits laughter, smiles, and contemplation, a testament to Peta’s ability to connect with her audience on a profound level.

In embracing her passion for cartooning, Peta Manning has not only found a creative outlet but has also discovered a powerful medium to touch the hearts and minds of others. Her journey serves as an inspiring narrative of adaptability, resilience, and the enduring power of creativity in the face of life’s challenges.
